UN:维基解密文件应推动伊拉克虐囚调查
联合国人权事务高级专员皮莱呼吁美国和伊拉克当局调查最近公布的秘密军事文件中有关非法残杀被拘留者和虐囚的指称。
皮莱星期二说，维基解密网站公布的这些文件显示，美国当局了解伊拉克军队普遍折磨和虐待伊拉克被拘留者的情况，但还是在2009年早期到2010年7月之间将数千人转移到伊拉克监狱。皮莱还说，这些文件据说谈到“很多美军在检查站和军事行动中杀害平民而没有公布的事件”。
皮莱说，这些消息令人更加关注有关在伊拉克发生了严重违反国际人权法的现象。她敦促美国和伊拉克控告任何被认为应对虐待、非法杀戮和其他暴行负责的人。
同样在星期二，美国国防部第二高级官员把维基解密的文件称为“偷窃的材料”，说它们使敌人了解美国军方是如何运作的。
