Otunbayeva said she will promote further cooperation between Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and universities in Kyrgyzstan in wide range of academic exchanges.
Otunbayeva graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Moscow State University in 1972, she served as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in 1992 and as the President of Kyrgyzstan from 7 April 2010 until 1 December 2011. Currently, she is committed to promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan.
Otunbayeva is fluent in Russian and can speak English, German and French in addition to Kyrgyz. In today’s ceremony, she encouraged Chinese students to work hard in learning foreign languages, and to contribute to the development of bilateral friendship.
