Russia and China failed to reach the agreement on gas supplies during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China in June and the reason was the disagreement on gas price, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov in an interview. “The remaining differences on the price are related to a rigid state regulation of China’s energy pricing.”
“However, negotiations continue between the companies, different options for the potential of mutually beneficial cooperation are considered, including forming joint ventures for the export of liquefied natural gas through pipeline delivery. Sooner or later, the agreement will be reached,” said Igor Morgulov.
