Chinese President Hu Jintao concluded his state visit to Russia and left St. Petersburg Saturday for Ukraine.
Hu arrived here Friday morning in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia, and gave a speech at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.
In his speech, the Chinese president said China had to conduct joint efforts with other countries in addressing major global economic challenges.
Hu began his visit Wednesday in Moscow in Russia, where he discussed with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for the development of strategic and cooperative partnership between the two countries over the next decade.
Hu’s visit to Russia is of great importance as this year marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation.
